Dr. Jon Hart: Dr. Jon R. Hart graduated from
the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1974
after receiving his undergraduate degree in 1971 from
the University of Iowa. Dr. Hart and his wife
Mary moved to Decorah that summer and began his family
dentistry practice in partnership with Dr. Jim
Blodgett and Dr. C.R. Wyse at 405 College Drive.
Active in many local community organizations and
activities, Dr. Hart maintains professional
memberships in the American Dental Association, the
Iowa Dental Association, the Dubuque Regional Dental
Association, the NE Iowa Dental Study Club, the
Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown
Decorah Betterment Association. Dr. Hart
continues to enjoy and provide quality family dental
care for people of all ages in Decorah and in
Northeast Iowa.
Dr. Peter Blodgett: Dr. Peter Blodgett is the
third generation of family dentistry practitioners in
Decorah. His grandfather, Dr. John Blodgett,
began practicing in Decorah in 1926, while his father,
Dr. Jim Blodgett, joined the practice in 1959.
Dr. Peter Blodgett graduated from the University of
Iowa college of Dentistry in 1989 after earning a
degree from Luther College in 1985. He came to
Decorah in 1989 to join his father, Dr. Hart and Dr.
C.R. Wyse at the practice at 405 College Drive.
Dr. Blodgett maintains professional memberships in the
American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental
Association, the Dubuque Regional Dental Association,
the NE Iowa Dental Study Club, the Decorah Area
Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Decorah
Betterment Association. Dr. Blodgett and his
wife, Linda, have two sons, Evan and Jared.
After work, Dr. Blodgett enjoys biking, running,
hunting and pottery.
Dr. John Wilmes: Dr. Wilmes enrolled in 1998 as
an undergraduate at the University of Iowa with a pre-dental major,
then was then admitted in 2002 to the University of Iowa College
of Dentistry. He received honors for excellence
in oral medicine and graduated in 2006. After
graduation he practiced dentistry with Willamette
Dental, P.C. in Salem, Oregon for one year. Dr.
Wilmes and his wife, Jamie, moved to Decorah in the
summer of 2007 when he bought Dr. Chris Wyse's dental
practice. Dr. Wilmes is a member of the American
Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the
Dubuque Regional Dental Association, the NE Iowa
Dental Study Club, the Decorah Area Chamber of
Commerce and the Delta Sigma professional dental
fraternity. He is also a member of the board of
directors of the Downtown Decorah Betterment
Association. Dr. Wilmes and his wife enjoy the
wonderful community of Decorah and look forward to
providing quality dental care for you and your family
